Students' Ministries Coordinator
Sami supports the students at FCV by creating a fun and safe space for them to grow closer to God. Sami has been working at First Cutlerville for five years and “I absolutely LOVE my job and getting to know the kids.” Outside of work, Sami enjoys playing tennis and going to coffee shops. Lately, we have lost her to a Foodie obsession!
John Dykema
IT & Records Coordinator
As IT and Records Coordinator, John creates reports and enters contributions. John also keeps FCV's paper membership records up to date. He enjoys golfing and watching his grandchildren participate in musicals and sports.
Erin Fennema
Children's Ministries Coordinator
Erin's teaching background and love for the Children's Ministries at First Cutlerville has led her to oversee the Nursery to Middle School programs as the Children's Ministries Coordinator. Erin spends her time coordinating volunteers for these ministries, planning lessons, crafts, and games, as well as developing experiences for children to gather for fun and grow closer to God. When not at FCV, Erin is chaos coordinator, belly filler, and biggest fan of her husband and four children.
Todd Smith
Custodian
Todd is a custodian, and he uses self-deprecating humor to talk about himself and regular-deprecating humor to talk about his work and his family. He has seen every episode of The Beverly Hillbillies numerous times. Todd has a variety of fidget-spinners.
Sherri VanAartsen
Office Coordinator
I am the office coordinator. It is my job to keep things organized and running smoothly.
I enjoy people and getting to know them on a personal level. My favorite people are my family. Especially my six grandchildren. We love games, books, snuggles and time together.
Pastor Josh VanDrunen
Lead Pastor
A fan of his wife, his four children, Wisconsin sports teams, disc golf, working outdoors, and excellent coffee, Pastor Josh also loves Reese Peanut Butter cups, reading, and board games. And, at First Cutlerville, he’s the pastor.
Steph VanDrunen
Kids Hope Director
At her part-time job, Steph teaches Pre-school and survives on Diet Coke. As the Kids Hope Director at FCV, she seeks to develop relationships between students at Marshall Elementary School in Byron Center and mentors from FCV. She loves to surprise the Staff with cookies and treats.
Pastor Ken Van Wyk
Visitation Pastor
Pastor Ken has served as Visitation Pastor since May 2013. Before retiring in 2012, Pastor Ken served for 40 years as lead pastor at McBain CRC, Haven CRC in Zeeland, and First Cutlerville CRC. Pastor Ken and his wife Sandy, a retired nurse and avid quilter, enjoy walking, traveling, and spending time at Sandy Pines Campground.
Mark Vriesman
Diaconal Coordinator
Mark can be found helping people within FCV and the community. And though Mark is good at helping others, when it comes to technology, he is not good at helping himself. You will often see Mark taking his laptop for a walk.
Heidi Wassink
Worship Coordinator
Heidi works to make Sunday worship happen. She serves to help plan and promote worship services as well as occasionally lead music. She coordinates a team responsible for worship planning, visual arts, and choir. Outside of work, Heidi loves spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren!
Kari Witte
Adult Ministries Coordinator
IT Analyst by day and Adult Ministries Coordinator by night (or available times during the day or weekends), Kari supports the Adult Ministries at FCV. When not working one of her jobs, Kari is always up for a challenge or adventure, whether that be pushing her mind or health, exploring Byron Center on long walks with her dog, or traveling the world.
